Giving back to the community is the ASCC’s top priority and also our greatest reward. To achieve this goal within the USAG Ansbach community, ASCC raises funds through many avenues. Some of our funds are obtained from sales within our Thrift Shop, community events such as BINGO or trivia night, or by selling our Ways and Means items. The profits from these enable us to provide community grants, as well as school scholarships for dependents, including spouses. We also assist qualifying school-age children of active duty soldiers by providing eyeglasses as a part of our Bright Eyes project with the help of our military schools.
Whether we are collecting supplies to meet the specific needs of a local organization, teaming up to serve meals, or baking goodies for our soldiers, the ASCC is committed to community outreach. We’d love to have you join us on these fun and rewarding adventures.

ASCC Thrift Shop
Located in Building 5515 on Katterbach Kaserne, the Thrift Shop is the engine of our giving. It offers the USAG Ansbach community an affordable, sustainable shopping experience for household goods, fashion, and more, and 100% of its profits go to local philanthropic activities.
Food Pantry
A vital safety net for our Soldiers and families. The food pantry, located inside the thrift shop, provides confidential access to non-perishable food and essential household items to ensure no member of the community goes without during times of financial hardship or transition.
Community Grants
Reinvesting directly into “The Best Hometown in Europe.” These grants provide financial backing for local units, schools, and organizations within USAG Ansbach to fund events and projects that improve the quality of life for everyone on post or provide opportunities they may not otherwise have.
Scholarships
Every year, the ASCC awards merit-based scholarships to graduating high school seniors and continuing education students (spouses and non-traditional students) within the Ansbach military community to support their higher education goals.

Bright Eyes
Helping our community’s children see a brighter future. This program provides financial assistance to help offset the costs of glasses for children of military families in the Ansbach footprint.

Angel Tree
Our favorite holiday tradition. In partnership with local units, the Angel Tree ensures that children in our community receive gifts and holiday joy through the anonymous generosity of their neighbors and fellow community members.
Frontline Formal
Formal Frontline is a new, community-powered initiative dedicated to supporting our military families. By collecting and gifting new and gently used formal wear, we provide a no-cost shopping experience for all military ID cardholders—including service members, spouses, and dependents. Our mission is to offset the high costs of military traditions and milestones, from formal evenings and military balls to proms and JROTC events. Every gown, shoe, and accessory we provide is a gift to keep, ensuring our community can celebrate in style without the financial burden.
Kinderheim Support
A cornerstone of our host-nation relations. The ASCC provides ongoing support to our local German children’s home, fostering a bond between the American military community and our Ansbach neighbors through donations and seasonal outreach.
